FEBRUARY 2019 – This month’s employee spotlight is Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal (KRSM) Residential Project Specialist Whitney Wack in West Virginia.

Whitney began working for KRSM in May of 2012 as an Administrative Assistant at the previous warehouse facility in Glen Dale, WV. She moved to the service/residential division in 2014 and was promoted to Residential Office Manager in 2015. Whitney was just promoted once again to Residential Project Specialist.

On a day to day basis, Whitney manages service and repair work as well as some residential re-roof jobs. Service technicians contact her about leak repairs and smaller contract jobs for which she orders the materials and speaks to homeowners about the repairs. Whitney has been managing projects for the past two years and officially completed three re-roof projects within the last three months which included the scheduling, management, and billing. She is one of the first females to manage re-roof projects for KRSM. “It is a tremendous opportunity, and the only direction I look to now is up,” said Whitney.

“I enjoy working with both the field and office employees. Not only have I been able to see what happens in the office, but I’ve been on various job sites and witnessed the different steps it takes to install shingle and EPDM roofs,” said Whitney. “I feel that our field employees are the backbone of the company, and they really care about their trade and work with great enthusiasm.”

Kalkreuth was built on family-oriented roots, and that still stands today. In addition to Whitney, her husband, Chris Wack, has been an Estimator at East Coast Metal Systems for 4 years, and her two brothers-in-law Geoff Wack, KRSM Estimator, and Josh Wack, KRSM Business Development Manager, have been working at KRSM for 12 and 6 years respectively.

“KRSM is an excellent company to work for,” said Whitney. “There is a lot of opportunity for advancement and growth, and I feel that KRSM cares about their employees and that I have a future with the company.”

“Whitney has been a valuable part of the Service Division since day one. She has never backed down from a challenge and has consistently looked for ways to improve not only the efficiency of our office, but also the overall morale within,” said Service Manager Shawn Snodgrass. “She is highly respected by the roofers and the office staff and has earned that respect through hard work and dedication. The Wheeling Service Division would not be what it is today without Whitney Wack.”
